Born in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, Sarah currently lives near Caernarfon, Wales, in the United Kingdom. She studied at Queen's University, Kingston (1995-1999), Concordia University, Montreal (1999-2002) and completed her Doctorate in Education (EdD) at the University of Exeter in 2017.
In 2000, she was the beneficiary of an Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant. This allowed her to complete her Master of Fine Arts and focus on her studio work. During 2001, Sarah was selected for the '19e Symposium International de la Nouvelle Peinture au Canada' in Baie Saint-Paul, Quebec.
Sarah has participated in solo and group exhibitions at Storiel, Bangor (2016); Oriel Ynys Mon, Llangefni (2016); Oriel Pendeitsh, Caernarfon (2014); ISADA Exhibition, Somerset (2013); Sherwell Centre, Plymouth (2005); Bourget Gallery, Montreal (200 & 2002); Galerie Port Maurice, Montreal (2002); the Leonard and Bina Ellen Gallery, Montreal; Artena, Marseilles; and the Royal West of England Academy, Bristol. She has also enjoyed participating in artist residencies including an excursion to the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Sweet Briar, Virginia, USA. Throughout the year Sarah is an art teacher at St Gerard's School Trust, Bangor, Wales.
